LSP takes advantage of the material being at a higher temperature range (270 to 280o C) & therefore an increased reaction-speed of the polycondensation. The LSP-Process can increase the IV-Value by 0,01 to 0,02 dl/g within minutes.
VERSATILE APPLICATION OF THE LSP-REACTOR FOR RECYCLING DIFFERENT PET-PRODUCTS
By combining the LSP-Reactor with commonly used recycling-equipment (Shredder-Feeder-Extruder-Combinations), the system becomes extremely versatile to recycle all sorts of PET-products, as thick walled parts like preforms, bottle flakes, fibers, sheets, etc and Recycling Plastic.
RESULTS FROM TEST RUNS ON PET-FIBER-PRODUCTION-SCRAP
The input material was PET-fibers combined with “chunky” parts of the spinning-process & had an IV of 0,62dl/g. The measured IV of the rPET was 0,70 dl/g. The increase of IV can be controlled by varying the residue-time in the LSP-Reactor.
