Machinery Corporation (PMC) was founded in 1951 by Donald
Baumgartner, Chief Executive Officer of the company. The
company has been based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin since its
founding.
PMCs basic business has been the design and manufacture
of precision forming machines for the production of paperboard
cups and containers. These products are used in vending
machines, fast food restaurants and pre-packaged consumer
products such as ice cream, etc. In the U.S. most producers
of paper cups and containers use PMC equipment. Internationally,
PMC machines are used in 40 countries in all the major continents.
In addition to PMCs basic business, the company also
designs and manufactures machines to form foam cups and
machines for in-plant manufacture of containers for many
major food, pharmaceutical and candy companies.
Sales of PMC have quadrupled between 1977 and 1997. this
growth led to the design and building of a state-of-the-art
120,000 square foot office and plant complex, doubling the
companys manufacturing capacity.
PMCs growth efforts in international markets have
been recognized by the Secretary of Commerce who presented
the Presidents "E" star award for exports
to the company for its outstanding contribution to the Export
Expansion Program of the United States.
