Blow Moulding Machines

As the world´s leading manufacturer of blow molding machines, BEKUM is proud to be able to offer all solutions you need. For an in-depth description of high-precision machines please choose a topic from below or from the bottom right menu.

Machine types
BM machines are designed with high reliability, excellent efficiency and flexibility of the production for bottles, containers and technical parts between 3ml and 20l.
The BA machines are the largest machines in the production range from 30l to 2000l, for the production of containers and technical parts as well as for fuel tanks.
The RBS/RBU-series is a reliable, profitable solution for the production of stretch blown PET bottles, up to 5000 ml.

The BM range

The single- and twin-station systems of the BM series are flexible high-capacity machines for the manufacture of plastic blow moldings in single and multiple production. With the machines of the BM series, BEKUM has created universal systems for any production purpose.

The new machines with the end-number 4 in their type are of the newest design. The size and features of the different machine types are fully tailored to the particular requirements. Equipment is precisely customized to individual wishes. BM blow molding machines cover the whole production spectrum from the smallest ampoule or tube through drink bottles, cosmetic containers, wide-neck containers to industrial moldings and canisters.

Depending on the machine and size of the article, the choice ranges from a single-cavity mold right through to 16-fold production. The technological concept of the mold closing and the proportional hydraulics result in minimized sequences. The tried-and-tested BEKUM principle of mold carriage movement transverse to closing direction of the molds makes it possible to set up without any trouble twin-station systems with aligned removal and downstream stations.

The tried-and-tested BEKUM principle of mold carriage movement transverse to closing direction of the molds makes it possible to set up without any trouble twin-station systems with aligned removal and downstream stations. An additional advantage which results is that of simple melt stream guidance when using multiple dieheads. The machines are designed with high wear resistance and long service life in mind.

RBU Reheat Machines
The reheat stretch blow system RBS/RBU are designed for the production of containers with volumes up to approximately 200 - 3.000ml. Injection molded preforms are sorted and oven tempered. Thereafter they are molded into biaxially stretched bottles in a fast stretch blow molding machine. The finished containers leave the system in an upright posistion. Maximum dimensions: 130mm diameter, 340mm length.

Co-Extrusion
Co-extrusion is a technique whereby multifunctional hollow articles based on traditional and/or new plastics for packing materials can be produced. Coextrusion allows the upgrading of commodity-type raw materials by providing them with a gas-tight and aroma-tight barrier layer, the partial replacement of expensive blow molding materials and combination of different materials to produce novel blow moldings otherwise unattainable.

The market trend toward multi-layer blow molding has caused BEKUM to further develop the traditional 3-layer coextrusion with a new generation of blow heads and extruders so as to be able to offer a 4-, 5- or even 6-layer technology.
