BKG - Underwater Pelletizing Systems

Since the setting up in 1994, BKG has been offering - together with our partners of the Kreyenborg group who have completed 50 years in the industry- comprehensive conceptions for underwater pelletizing. This special procedure is currently the most promising, innovative and, concerning the range of plastics materials to be processed, the most flexible technique for the production of high-quality plastics pellets. The company which belongs to the Kreyenborg group is one of the leading suppliers of Underwater Pelletizing Systems world-wide, which is the innovative technology facilitating the production of high-quality plastics pellets.

Kreyenborg Melt Filters / Screen Changers

When extruding plastics, a contamination-free plastic melt is desired. Since contamination affects the quality of the product and impedes the operating process, it is essential to ensure a perfect filtration process and improve the quality of the plastic melt by using a melt filter.
For more than 30 years KREYENBORG have been active in the construction and design of melt filters, called "Screen Changers".

Applications:

KREYENBORG Screen Changers are used for the filtration of
· all kinds of thermoplastics
· foamed plastic materials
· even under the hardest operating conditions
· others on request

Our Screen Changers are used for the production of

· flat, blown or cast films,
· fibres, tapes and sheets,
· pellets,in the field of recycling,
· as well as in the fields of injection and blow molding processes.

Characteristics:

· easy handling
· extremely easy maintenance
· robust and wear-resistant construction
· precise machining
· leak-proof design
· low screen and energy requirements

KREYENBORG Special Silos

Light-weight bulk material such as film flakes, fibers, hollow part ground stock, non-woven flakes, foams etc. quickly tend to bridge during the discharge. Therefore the KREYENBORG Special Silos are an important component of a lot of plastics recycling lines following the size reduction for the intermediate storage and for the dosed input into the following extrusion, agglomeration, etc.

Special Fiber Silos (one agitator)

This silo is primarily designed to store extremely light and quickly bridging fibers. In this case the bulk density may show a value of far below 0,1 kg/dm³.

Special Film Flake Silo (three agitators)

Materials with bulk densities of approx. 0,3 kg/dm³ are stored in these silos – on request also homogenized – and discharged by means of an adjustable discharge screw.

Special Block-Type Silo (angular structural shape)
For the storage and the dosed discharge of film flakes, fibers, foams etc. KREYENBORG offers the special block-type silo. With this type of silo there are nearly no limits concerning the bulk density, the strength or the consistence of the material. A further advantage of these silos is the space-saving structural shape as well as the great storage volume with small overall height. The modular design enables an economical transport of the big silos and also a loading into oversea containers.
